What to put on a halloween flyer
- Lead with the event type (Halloween Party, Trunk or Treat) in the biggest type; the spooky styling does the rest.
- Say who it is for: kids, adults only, or all ages. It changes who turns up.
- For trunk or treat, give the car park location, a start and end time and a rain plan.
- Mention costumes, allergy-friendly treats (a teal pumpkin is the common sign) and anything guests should bring.
- Dark backgrounds look great on screen but use a lot of toner; print a test page first.

Halloween flyer questions
Questions people ask
What should a Halloween party flyer include?
The words "Halloween Party", the date, start time and address, whether it is for kids, adults or everyone, the costume rules, food or drinks, and one way to RSVP.
What do you put on a trunk or treat flyer?
The host (church, school or neighbourhood), the date and time, the car park or street where cars will park, how to sign up to decorate a trunk, any theme or contest, and a rain date or indoor backup.
When should I put up Halloween flyers?
Two to three weeks before the event works for most community events. Neighbourhood and school groups often share the PNG online first and post printed copies a week before.
